The Montana Salaries of Public Officers Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 5, 1968 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have removed the prohibition on increasing salaries of public officers during their term of office.[1][2]
