The Ohio Bank Taxation Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the October 13, 1857 ballot in Ohio as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have provided that all property employed in banking be taxed in a manner equal to that imposed on the property of individuals.
