Noma appointed to Oklahoma Supreme Court

Oklahoma: Noma D. Gurich was appointed by Gov. Henry to the Oklahoma Supreme Court on January 7, 2011. She will replace the late Justice Marian Opala. Gurich has served as a district judge for Oklahoma County since 1998. Gov. Henry, who selected Gurich from a list of three candidates, stated, "During her distinguished legal career, Judge Gurich has compiled an exemplary record of service on the bench and has consistently demonstrated the judicial temperament and intellect necessary to be an outstanding Supreme Court Justice."[1]
