The Judicial Update

November 14, 2011

Milwaukee, Wisconsin: Elsa Lamelas, Circuit Court judge for the 1st Judicial District, has announced that she will not run for re-election in the April 2012 judicial elections. She announced her retirement on November 14, 2011 via email to her colleagues. Lamelas' last day in office is July 31, 2012.[1]

Attorney Hannah C. Dugan has announced her intention to run for the seat, and it is likely that Lindsey Grady, deputy register in probate for Milwaukee County, will also join the race abandoning her earlier bid for the Department 28 seat being vacated by Thomas Cooper.[1]
