McElwee was appointed by Republican Governor Mary Fallin on March 15, 2016. She filled the vacancy created by Bernard Jones' appointment to the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.[1]
Biography
McElwee received a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Oklahoma and a J.D. from Oklahoma City University. She graduated from law school in 2004. Her professional experience includes working as a prosecutor at the Oklahoma County district attorney's office.[1]
