Jackson County Question 1 was on the ballot as a referral in Jackson County on November 3, 2020. It was approved.

A "yes" vote supported authorizing a fee of up to $1.00 for all subscribers to communication services that features the ability to call 9-1-1 with revenue going to the county's E-911 System Fund.

A "no" vote opposed this measure authorizing a fee of up to $1.00 for all subscribers to communication services that features the ability to call 9-1-1 with revenue going to the county's E-911 System Fund.


A simple majority was required for the approval of Question 1.

Ballot title

The ballot title for Question 1 was as follows:

“

Shall Jackson County, Missouri, impose a monthly fee not to exceed $1.00 (one dollar) on a subscriber of any communications service that has been enabled to contact 911 for the purpose of funding 911 service in the County? The proceeds of this fee shall be deposited in the County’s special E-911 System Fund and not comingled with the general funds of the County, to be expended solely for the purpose set forth herein.
