Atherton New Town Center, Measure L (November 2012)
An Atherton New Town Center, Measure L ballot question was on the November 6, 2012, ballot for voters in the Town of Atherton in San Mateo County, where it was approved.[1]
The ballot question said, "Should the Town of Atherton use funds primarily from private donations to construct a new Town Center? Other funding sources might include funds derived from Building fees or future grant money, but would not use general fund or parcel tax money."[1]

Measure L: "Should the Town of Atherton primarily use private donations to construct and design a new Town Center? Other funding sources might include funds derived from Building fees or future grant money but would not use general fund or parcel tax money."[2] |
Path to the ballot
The measure was referred to the ballot on August 7, 2012 by a 3-2 vote of the Atherton Town Council.[1]
Bill Widmer, Jim Dobbie and Kathy McKeithen were the three town council members who voted in favor of placing the measure on the ballot.
