Clinton County School District Tax Levy Question (April 2013)

A Clinton County School District Tax Levy question was defeated on the April 2, 2013 election ballot in Clay and Clinton Counties, which are in Missouri.
If approved, this measure would have authorized the Clinton County School District to increase its operating property tax levy by 3 mills ($3 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) in order to fund competitive salaries for teachers and staff.[1]
This measure is being presented to the voters again in August.

“ | Shall the Board of Education of the Clinton County R-III School District be authorized to increase the District’s operating tax levy ceiling by $0.30 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation for the purpose of funding District salaries in order to attract an retain quality staff members?
If this question is approved, the operating tax levy ceiling of the District is estimated to increase from $3.9134 to $4.2134 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation. YES |
