A Miami-Dade County Mayoral Conflicts Amendment question is on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Miami-Dade County, which is in Florida, where it was approved.
This question amended the Miami-Dade County Charter to establish that when a Mayor declares a conflict of interest the mayoral duties concerning the particular procurement of which there is a conflict are taken over by the Chair of the Board of Commissioners.[1]

“ | Shall the Charter be amended to provide that when the County Mayor declares a conflict of interest in a particular procurement of a County contract, the chairperson of the Board of County Commissioners shall exercise all authority provided by the Charter or the County Commission to the Mayor with regard to such procurement including the authority to recommend a bid waiver?
