There was a Newfound School District Proposed Budget Measure on the March 9 ballot in the Newfound school district which is in Belknap, Grafton and Merrimack counties.
This measure asked for approval of the school district budget which is in the amount of $22.7 million. At a local meeting about the budget, proposed cuts were suggested by school members said they could not find any more feasible cuts without drastically cutting school functions. But that still leaves a significant amount of money that is not available to the schools and they are unsure where they will get the additional funding.[1]
