An Oaks Village Trash Contract Question was on the April 3, 2012 ballot in the village of Oaks which is in Clay County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 16 (53.33%)Approveda
  • NO 14 (46.67%)[1]

This measure sought to have the village contract with one trash company which would provide service and also impose a fee of around $120 a year for those trash services.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the Village of Oaks contract with a single trash company to provide trash and recycling services to be paid by all homeowners through an annual fee? The fee would be divided equally among homeowners, for a cost estimated at $120 a year.[3]
