A Pleasant Hill Fire District Bond Measure was on the August 3, 2010 ballot in the Pleasant Hill fire district which is in Cass County.

This measure was defeated

This measure sought to implement a bond in the amount of $4.5 million in order to purchase land and build a new fire station. The bond money would have also gone towards equipping and furnishing the new building.[2]


The question on the ballot:

Shall the Board of Directors of the Pleasant Hill Fire Protection District, Missouri, borrow money in the amount of Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,500,000) for the purpose of providing funds for the acquisition of land; the site development, construction, equipping and furnishing of an additional fire/EMS station; replacement of outdated equipment to meet increased capacity needs and to better serve the community; and issue bonds for the payment thereof resulting in an estimated increase to the debt service property tax levy of $0.23 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation? If this proposition is approved, the adjusted debt service service levy of the fire protection district is estimated to increase from $0.00 to $0.23 per one hundred dollars assessed valuation of real and personal property.[3]
