The Shawnee County Treasurer Position Question may appear on the November 2 ballot in Shawnee County.

The proposed measure would read:

Shall the following be adopted? The office of Shawnee County treasurer shall cease to be elected and shall become a position appointed by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Shawnee, Kansas.

The measure needs two out of three county commissioners to approve of it in order to be placed on the ballot.
