Eleven Spokane City Charter Amendment measures were on the August 16, 2011 ballot in the city of Spokane which is in Spokane County.

Nine of the proposed amendments were approved[1]

These eleven proposed charter amendments sought to change the requirements for elected offices, change the salaries of elected officials change how officials are recalled and other items in regards to elections and redistricting.[2]

Proposition 1

The question on the ballot:

This proposition will amend Section 6 of the Spokane City Charter to provide that the offices of mayor, council president or council member are separate elected positions each with separate term of office and term limitation and to define “residency” for purpose of holding elected office, as set forth in Ordinance No. C34622.[3]
