Two Warden School District Levy Measures were on the February 14, 2012 ballot in the Warden school district area which is in Adams and Grant Counties.
Both measures were approved
The first measure sought to replace an expiring levy with one set at a rate of $3.53 per $1,000 of assessed property value for the first year for a period of two years in order to pay for educational needs in the district.
The second measure sought to increase the current school levy by a rate of $1.67 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of two years in order to renovate the vocational school facility.[1]

Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
Proposition 1: The Board of Directors of Warden School District No. 146-161 adopted Resolution No. 01-11-12, concerning a proposition to finance maintenance and operation expenses. This proposition would authorize the District to meet the educational needs of its students by levying the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, on all taxable property within the District, for support of the District’s General Fund educational maintenance and operation expenses: Approximate Levy Rate/$1,000. Collection Year: 2013, 2014; Levy Amount: $3.53, $3.67; Assessed Value: $1,055,000, $1,107,75.
Proposition 2: The Board of Directors of Warden School District No. 146-161-J adopted Resolution No. 02-11-12, concerning a proposition to finance expansion and renovation of school facilities. This proposition would authorize the District to expand and renovate the vocational building, and levy the following excess taxes, on all taxable property within the District: Collection Year: 2013, 2014; Approximate Levy Rate Per $1000 Assessed Value: $1.67, $1.66; Amount: $500,000.[3] |
