Christopher Ray is a magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. He assumed office on February 15, 2019.
Education
Ray earned a bachelor's degree in military and diplomatic history, with honors, from Princeton University in 1991 and a J.D. from Fordham University in 1994.[1]
Military service
Ray served in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the United States Army from 1995 to 1999. He retired with the rank of captain.[1]
Professional career
Prior to his appointment as a federal magistrate judge, Ray practiced law at the firm of Oliver Maner LLP in Savannah, Georgia. Ray was made a partner at the firm in 2003.[1]

Christopher Ray joined the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia as a federal magistrate judge on January 4, 2019, and formally assumed office on February 15, 2019.[1]
