Dale W. Penn was a judge on the Marion County Circuit Court in Oregon.[1] The court has jurisdiction over Marion County and is located within the 3rd Judicial District. Penn was appointed to the court by Governor Ted Kulongoski on February 26, 2010, and since he did not run for re-election in 2016, his last term expired on January 2, 2017.[2][3]

Penn was up for election to the Marion County Circuit Court in November 2010 after being appointed in February to fill a vacant seat. He won unopposed with 98.55 percent of the vote.[4]

Education

Penn earned his B.A. from Pasadena College and his J.D. from the University of Oregon in 1976.[5][6][7]

Military service

Penn served on active duty in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973.[6][7]

Career

Penn formerly served as district attorney for Marion County. Governor Ted Kulongoski appointed him to oversee the lottery in 2004 where he worked until his appointment to the Marion County Circuit Court in 2010.[6][7]
