Diccia T. Pineda-Kirwan was a justice for the Supreme Court 11th Judicial District, Civil Term, in Queens County, New York. She was elected to this position on November 3, 2009.[1][2][3]

Education

Pineda-Kirwan received her B.A. degree from Queens College in 1977 and her J.D. degree from the City University of New York - Queens School of Law in 1986.[1][4]

Career

Pineda-Kirwan worked as Assistant Counsel to the Office of the Borough President in Queens from 1987 to 1990. She then worked as a Court Attorney in the Civil Court until 1993 and a Principal Law Clerk for the New York Supreme Court until 2003—when she became a judge for the New York City Civil Court, Queens County. She held this position until her 2009 election to the Supreme Court, 11th District.[1][4]

2009 election

Pineda-Kirwan was elected to the court in 2009. Six candidates ran for three seats.[5]
