Dorothy T. Eisenberg was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of New York. She joined the court in 1989 and retired in 2014.[1]

Education

Eisenburg received an undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.[2]

Career

Eisenburg began her career with Otterbourg, Steindler, Houston & Rosen, P.C. After taking a leave of absence to raise her children, she returned to practicing law with the Mineola firm of Goldman Horowitz & Cherno. There, she began working in the new field of bankruptcy law. Later, she became first woman partner with Shaw, Licitra, Eisenberg, Esernio & Schwartz, P.C. of Garden City.[1]
