Dwight L. Geiger was a judge of the 19th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He first served on this court from 1976 to 2005. After a short stint as a semi-retired senior judge, he was re-elected on November 4, 2008, to replace Ben E. Bryan Jr. Geiger took office in January of 2009 and retired when his term expired on January 5, 2015.[1][2][3][4][5]

Education

Geiger received his B.S. from Stetson University and his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law. He was admitted to the Bar in 1968.[4][6]

Military service

Geiger served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve from 1968 to 1994.[4]

Career

Geiger worked as a private practice lawyer from 1970 to 1973. He then joined the Martin County Court. In 1976, he was elevated to the circuit court, where he served until 2005. After a short semi-retirement, he was re-elected to the court in 2008.[2]
