Frederick A. Schurger was a judge for the circuit court of Adams County in Indiana. Schurger was appointed in 1999 after the retirement of Lorren Caffee, and he left the court in 2012 after his defeat in the November election.[1]

Education

Schurger received his B.A. from Wabash College. He received his J.D.from Indiana University's Maurer School of Law in Bloomington.[2]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Schurger worked in private practice. Both of Schurger's parents were attorneys, as was his uncle. His sister and neice are also lawyers.[1]

2012 election

Schurger ran for re-election against Chad E. Kukelhan in the 2012 election, and was defeated after receiving 47.6 percent of the vote.[3]
