Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am Lamar Jefferson. An advocate for rebuilding District 2, I will strengthen this district's economy by providing better opportunities through job growth, education and safety. My affiliation lies within the wellbeing of The People. My advocacy has no agenda attached to big business or governmental greed.

It's time for Sacramento to recognize our need for better safety, infrastructure and economic development. For too long District 2 has lacked support from the City of Sacramento. With personal property theft and public safety at an all-time high, we must fortify our community through increased police presence. I am an advocate for Sacramento's District 2. I will work tirelessly to give the people in this community an opportunity to grow, just as the rest of Sacramento. It's time to speak up for District 2. Let me be your voice. What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Unity in the community. My district is underserved and not getting resources necessary to grow. Show district 2 the money. We like nice stuff too.

What qualities does this office possess that makes it a unique and important part of the state government and legal system?

a councilperson is the first line of democracy and public service in government to advocate for the people directly.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I look up to Dr Martin Luther King Jr. I am taken action to continue to ensure the American Dream for all who live in America that have been underserved for too long. We must judge leaders and people by the content of the character. The bible says you know a tree by the fruit that it bears.

Honesty, Good Looks, Healthy Mind and Body. The discipline it takes to take care of yourself will help you be the inspiration for others to look at for examples and leadership. No one wants to really follow the Joker but Batman.

When i was born into this world. I celebrate life every day because of it by taken action to improve society.

I work for Tyson chicken plant. I work for 1 year. I know everything about processing chicken.

its a responsibility to take care of everyone in the district.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for holders of this office to have previous experience in government or politics?

No, the current council person had no experience. He was rich and from the community.

What kind of skills or expertise do you believe would be the most helpful for the holders of this office to possess?

I have common sense and that what is missing in government .
