Maria Foster was an at-large representative on the Brick Township Public Schools school board in New Jersey. Foster won a first term in the at-large general election on November 7, 2017.

Biography

Foster's professional experience includes serving as the director of government and community affairs for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 711 of New Jersey. She was also a Democratic appointee to the Board of Commissioners of the Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority.[1]

Two of the seven seats on the Brick Township Public Schools school board in New Jersey were up for at-large general election on November 7, 2017. Newcomers Jessica Clayton and Maria Foster defeated incumbent John Barton to win the seats. Clayton and Foster, along with the additional five board members, will be tasked with hiring a new superintendent.[2]
