Mark J. Ferron
Mark J. Ferron is a former member of the California Public Utilities Commission, the state body charged with regulating the state's utility companies. Ferron was appointed to the CPUC by Gov. Jerry Brown on March 22, 2011, for a term expiring at the end of 2014.[1] Before he could complete his term, Ferron announced his resignation from the CPUC on January 15, 2014, citing health issues. He was succeeded by former Sacramento Municipal Utility District Board member Michael Picker on January 29, 2014.[2][3]
Biography
Ferron spent 25 years in global finance, banking and operations. From 2001 to 2009 he worked as chief operating officer for the Global Markets Division of Deutsche Bank in London.[1] Before joining Deutsche Bank, Ferron was a vice president at Salomon Brothers from 1994 to 1996, and was a vice president at Bank of America from 1986 to 1994.[1]
Immediately prior to his appointment to the CPUC, he was a senior partner at the Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund and a board fellow of the New Teacher Center.[1]

Ferron was appointed to the California Public Utilities Commission by Gov. Jerry Brown on March 22, 2011.[1] He resigned from the CPUC on January 15, 2014, citing health reasons, and Brown appointed Michael Picker to replace him for the remainder of his term, which was scheduled to run through the end of 2014.[3]
