Michael Kinney is the Division 2 member of the Hardin County Board of Education in Kentucky. He won re-election in the general election on November 4, 2014. He was first elected to the board in 2010.[1]

Kinney graduated from East Hardin High School in 1965 and earned his bachelor's degree in history and education from Western Kentucky University in 1969. He currently works as an insurance agent for the Tabb Insurance Agency. Prior to that he was a teacher in Hardin County schools for 27 years.[2]

The election in Hardin County featured two seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. There was no primary election. Division 2 incumbent Michael Kinney defeated challenger Steven R. Hill and Division 3 incumbent Charlie Wise won against challenger Linda A. Collins.
