Rhonda Thurman
Rhonda Thurman was a member of the Hamilton County Board of Education in Tennessee, representing District 1. She assumed office in 2004. She left office in 2024.
Thurman ran for re-election to the Hamilton County Board of Education to represent District 1 in Tennessee. She won in the general election on August 6, 2020.
Biography
Thurman works as a hairdresser at Allure Beauty Salon. She unsuccessfully ran a write-in campaign for the District 1 seat on the Hamilton County Commission in 2014.[1]

2016
Four of the nine seats on the Hamilton County School District Board of Education were up for by-district general election on August 4, 2016.[2] In District 1, incumbent Rhonda Thurman defeated challengers Jason Moses and Patti Skates to win another term. District 2 incumbent Jonathan Welch lost his seat to challenger Kathy Lennon. The District 4 race featured incumbent George Ricks and challengers Montrell Besley, Tiffanie Robinson, and Annette Thompson. Robinson won election to the seat. Incumbent Donna Horn was defeated by challenger Joe Wingate for the District 7 seat.[3][4][5]
