Four seats on the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District school board were up for by-district general election on May 6, 2017. District 1 incumbent Howard Sampson and District 2 incumbent Agustin Loredo filed for re-election and were both unopposed. They each won additional terms on the board. In her bid for re-election, District 4 incumbent GiGi Cockrell was defeated by challenger Richard Clem. Two newcomers filed for the open District 5 seat; Ben Pape was victorious over Terry Nevorski.
