Rick Page
Rick Page was a candidate for District 1 representative on the Judson Independent School District board of trustees in Texas. Page filed to run for the District 1 seat, which was up for special election on May 6, 2017, but the Judson ISD reported that Page's application for candidacy was rejected due to missing information. Page was subsequently disqualified from running in the race.[1]
Page previously ran for the District 1 seat in 2015 but was defeated in the general election on May 9, 2015.

2017
Five of seven seats on the Judson Independent School District board of trustees in Texas were up for by-district election on May 6, 2017. Four of the seats were up for regular election and came with four-year terms, and one seat was up for special election and came with a two-year term. Incumbent Richard LaFoille was re-elected in District 2 after running unopposed. In District 3, incumbent Gilbert Flores lost to challenger Debra Eaton. District 4 incumbent José Macias Jr. was also re-elected after running unopposed. In District 5, incumbent Arnoldo Salinas was defeated by challenger Jennifer Rodriguez. The special election in District 1 was held due to the resignation of former board president Steve Salyer in January 2017. Newcomer Suzanne Kenoyer defeated fellow newcomer Michael Holdman to fill the open seat.[2][3]
Newcomer Rick Page also filed to run in the District 1 special election. According to the school district, Page's application was rejected due to missing information required by state law. In addition to selecting school board members, constituents approved a $60 million bond measure.
2015
The general election on May 9, 2015, in the Judson Independent School District featured three seats up for election. In the District 1 race, incumbent Steve Salyer faced challenger Rick Page. In the At-large District 6 race, incumbent June Adair competed against Reneé Paschall. At-large District 7 incumbent Sonny-Peter Merrell faced three challengers: Misty Dunn-Suarez, Melinda Salinas and Rod Tanner. While Slayer retained his seat, Paschalld defeated Adair and Salinas unseated Merrell.

Funding
Page reported no contributions or expenditures to the Texas Ethics Commission in the election.[5]
Texas school board candidates and officeholders must file semiannual reports, which were due on January 15, 2015, and July 15, 2015. In addition, candidates in contested elections were required to file 30-day and 8-day pre-election reports, unless the candidate chose modified reporting.[6]
Candidates in contested elections who did not intend to exceed $500 in contributions or expenditures, excepting filing fees, were eligible for modified reporting. If they exceeded the threshold before the 30th day prior to the election, candidates were required to submit the 30- and 8-day reports. If they exceeded the threshold after the 30th day prior to the election, they were required to file a report within 48 hours of exceeding the threshold and participate in regular reporting for the rest of the election cycle.[7]
