Ronald Ficarrotta
Ronald Ficarrotta was a judge of the Florida 13th Circuit Court. He assumed office in 1999. He left office in 2023.
Ficarrotta won re-election for judge of the Florida 13th Circuit Court outright after the general election on November 6, 2018, was canceled.
Ficarrotta was appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush in 1999.[1][2]
Education
Ficarrotta received his B.S. degree in Advertising from the University of Florida in 1979 and his J.D. degree from the South Texas College of Law in 1982. He also attended Magdalen College in Oxford, England, where he received a diploma in international law in 1982.[1][3]
Career
Ficarrotta began his career in 1983 as a prosecutor at the State Attorney's Office in Tampa. He later became a felony division chief of that office. In 1994, then-Gov. Lawton Chiles appointed him the Hillsborough County Court. He was elevated to the circuit court in 1999.[1][4]

The general election was canceled. Ronald Ficarrotta (Nonpartisan) won without appearing on the ballot.
