Stacey Hawley
Stacey Hawley was a Democratic candidate for an at-large seat on the Upper Darby School Board in Pennsylvania. She lost her election bid during the general election on November 5, 2013.
Biography
Hawley received her Bachelor's degree from Harcum College. She spent 15 years with Lincoln Financial Group before moving into a volunteer position with Healthy NewsWorks. Hawley and her husband, Geoff, have two children who graduated from district schools.[1]

Upper Darby School District serves K-12 students in Upper Darby, a township in eastern Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The population of Delaware County was 558,972 according to the 2010 U.S. Census[3]
Demographics
Delaware County outperformed the rest of the state in terms of educational achievement based on the 2010 U.S. Census. The percentage of residents over 25 years old with a Bachelor's degree (34.9%) was higher than the state of Pennsylvania (27.0%). The median household income in Delaware County was $64,242 compared to the state median income of $52,267. Delaware County had a poverty rate of 9.8% while the state of Pennsylvania had a poverty rate of 13.1%.[3]
