James L. Beeghly
James L. Beeghly was a judge of the First District of Iowa. He was appointed to the court in 1984 and retired in December 2004. He then served as a senior judge.[1][2]
Biography and Education
Beeghly was born in Conrad, IA. He received his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in 1967 and his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1974. He also served in the U.S. Navy during this time.[1]
Career
Beeghly worked for over 9 years as a general practice lawyer, a Fayette County attorney and a juvenile court referee before his judicial appointment in 1984.[1]
