Jean Johnson
Jean Johnson was a judge on the Fourth Circuit Court in Florida. She served in Duval County. Johnson was first elected to this position in 1996 (effective in January of 1997). Johnson died in December 2013.[1][2][3][4]
Education
Johnson received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Florida, majoring in political science and history. She then worked in various government jobs for about ten years. During that time, she was a legislative analyst for the Senate and House of Representatives, a security fraud investigator for the Department of Banking and Financing, and a city chief of planning. She received her J.D. degree from the University of Florida in 1985.[3]
Career
Johnson began her legal career in 1985 at her husband's law firm of Rumrell & Johnson. She worked as a judge of the County Court prior to her election to the circuit court in 1996.[3]
