Jeffrey Colbath

Jeffrey J. Colbath was the chief judge of the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was elected to the court position without opposition on September 10, 2002. He was re-elected in 2008 and 2014.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Colbath retired on September 30, 2019.[7]

Education
Colbath received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida in 1979 and his J.D. degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1982.[8]
Career
After interning with David Bludworth for the last nine months of law school, Colbath began his career as an assistant state attorney in June of 1982. Two years later, he took over his father's law practice and moved it to the firm of Metzger, Sonneborn. After one year, he joined Adams, Coogler, where he dealt with insurance defense cases. In 1992, he was elected to the Palm Beach County Court. He was elected to the circuit court in 2002.[3][8]
