Jennifer B. Wood was a candidate for the District 2 seat on the Pickens School Board in South Carolina. She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014.

The November 4, 2014, general election in the School District of Pickens County featured three seats up for election. In the District 2 race, four challengers — Phillip Bowers, Kevin McKenzie, Tony Qualkinbush and Jennifer B. Wood — sought the seat held by incumbent Jimmy Gillespie, since he did not file for re-election. District 6 incumbent Jim Shelton faced challenger Henry Wilson. District 4 incumbent Brian D. Swords was unopposed.

Funding

Candidates were required to file a quarterly finance report with the South Carolina State Ethics Commission for the November general election by October 10, 2014. This report covered the period of July 1, 2014, through September 30, 2014. Candidates were also required to file a pre-election report no later than 15 days prior to the election. A final report is due after the campaign has closed. Candidates for local school boards may not accept more than $1,000 from individuals and $5,000 from political parties.[1]
