Jerome P. Hellmer was the chief judge for the Twenty-Eighth Judicial District in Kansas. He began serving on this court in 1996. Hellmer was retained in 2010 and retired on January 12, 2015.[1][2]

Education

Hellmer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and his J.D. from Washburn University.[3]

Career

Hellmer has been a judge of the Twenty-Eighth Judicial District since 1996. Effective January 11, 2011, Hellmer became chief judge of the court.[4] Prior to taking the bench in 1996, Hellmer was in private practice.[5]

Elections

2010

Hellmer was retained to the district court with 76.9% of the vote in 2010.[1][6]
