Jim Miller (California)
Jim Miller ran for judge for the Superior Court of San Diego County in 2012.
2012 election
Miller won 37.46% of the vote in the primary election on June 5. Because no one received more than 50%, he and Robert Amador competed in the general election. Miller was defeated on November 6, receiving 40.72% of the vote.[1][2][3]

San Diego County Bar Association ratings
The SDCBA rated the candidates prior to the general election, giving a rating of Well Qualified, Qualified, or Lacking Qualifications.
Miller was rated as Lacking Qualifications.[4]
Education
Miller received his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University and his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.[5]
Career
Miller has been an attorney in private practice for over fourteen years. At the time of his candidacy, he served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Superior Court. Miller has worked as a certified arbitrator and County Hearing Officer. He is also an agent for athletes in the National Football League.[5][6]
