John L. Bingham
John L. Bingham was a magistrate judge for the Twelfth Judicial District of the District Courts in Kansas. He was appointed in 1999 and was obligated to run for retention in 2012 to maintain his seat. He was retained on Nov. 6, 2012 for a term that expired on December 31, 2016.[1]
Education
Bingham earned his J.D. University of Kansas School of Law.[2]
Career
Bingham was appointed to the Twelfth Judicial District in 1999. Before his appointment he worked as an attorney for the Department of Revenue and also in private practice.[2]
Elections
2012
Bingham stood for retention on Nov. 6, 2012.[3] He was successful in his bid for retention, earning 79% of the vote with 1,081 yes votes.[1]
