James "Jim" Ferrence is a political consultant based in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has worked for a number of candidates and elected officials in Nevada at the local, state and federal levels.
Career
Jim Ferrence has worked for several Democratic candidates and elected officials in Nevada. He served as campaign manager and political counsel to former Democratic Mayor of Las Vegas Oscar Goodman. Ferrence managed Mayor Goodman's successful 1999, 2003 and 2007 mayoral races. He also managed successful campaigns for former Democratic Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller, former Democratic Attorney General of Nevada Catherine Cortez Mastro and a number of local Nevada candidates including Clark County commissioners, Las Vegas city council members and Henderson city council members. Ferrence also gained political experience as a congressional staffer in the office of Democratic Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada.[1][2][3] Ferrence also served as the primary political advisor to Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak (D).[4]
Ferrence previously held a variety of positions with Paladin Advertising Inc., a political media firm based in Las Vegas, Nev. As of December 2015, Ferrence works as president of Consili Inc., a Las Vegas-based Democratic government relations firm.[1][5][6][7][8]
In 2013, Campaigns & Elections magazine named Ferrence to the Influencers 500—a list of key Democratic and Republican political influencers in each state—for his work in Democratic Nevada politics.[1]
