Career

Liz Brimmer earned a B.A. from Bowdoin College in English literature before becoming a reporter for the Casper Star-Tribune. She went on to work as communications director and then chief of staff for former Wyoming Senator Craig Thomas (R). In those roles, she advised Thomas regarding message development, public campaigns, and state, federal and international issues.[1]

In 1999, Brimmer founded Brimmer Communications, a Jackson, Wyo. public relations and public affairs firm. She is a consultant for Robert P. Schuster P.C., Attorneys at Law.[1]

Brimmer helped "spearhead" Compete Wyoming, "a coalition to advocate changes in state law to protect gay and transgender people in the workplace," in 2015. Compete Wyoming disbanded after the 2015 legislative session and a WyoFile story about the issue said Brimmer does not plan to continue lobbying.[2][3]
