Background

A New Missouri was founded in 2017 by senior advisers to the 2016 gubernatorial campaign of Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens (R), including campaign treasurer Jeff Stuerman.[1][3]

Greitens senior adviser Austin Chambers said, "The role of A New Missouri is to advocate for and promote the governor’s agenda. It will be backed by people who care deeply about seeing the agenda enacted here in Missouri." He noted that Greitens would not be involved in the organization's day-to-day activities.[3]
