Melissa Bacon
Melissa Bacon was the District 1 representative on the Fayette County Board of Education in Kentucky from 2006 to 2018. She resigned on August 22, 2018, for personal reasons.[1]

Three of the five seats on the Fayette County Public Schools Board of Education were up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. District 1 incumbent Melissa Bacon defeated challenger Samantha Rodarte to win re-election to her seat. In District 5, incumbent Daryl Love defeated challenger Sharon Mofield-Boswel. The District 3 incumbent, Raymond Daniels, ran unopposed and won re-election to his seat.[2]

Funding
Bacon reported no contributions or expenditures to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance as of October 25, 2016.[3]
Candidates who raised or spent over $3,000 during the election cycle had to file all pre-election and post-election campaign finance reports. Those who raised or spent less than $3,000 were only required to file a 30-day post-election report, while those who raised or spent less than $1,000 did not have to file any reports.[4]
