Anthony Swain Benson

Anthony Swain Benson is a judge for the Northeast Judicial District of North Dakota. He was appointed by Gov. Jack Dalrymple (R) in November 2015 to replace Michael Sturdevant following his September 2015 retirement.[1]
Education
Benson earned his associate degree in math from the Dakota College in 1991. He later earned a bachelor's degree from North Dakota State University in 1994 and his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2000.[1]
Career
Benson previously worked as the city attorney for Bottineau, interim state's attorney and special assistant state's attorney. He was an attorney and partner at Benson Law Office and assistant state's attorney for Bottineau County prior to his appointment.[1]
