Bill Weathington

Bill Weathington is the Republican Place 1 judge on the 30th Circuit Court in Alabama. He was appointed by Gov. Robert Bentley (R) in October 2013 to succeed Jim Hill. Weathington won election to a full six-year term in the general election on November 8, 2016.[1][2]
Biography
Weathington received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and his J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1985. Before taking the bench, Weathington was an attorney in private practice. He also worked as attorney for St. Clair County, the Cities of Moody and Springville, and served as attorney for numerous public entities.[3]

Alabama held general elections for local judicial offices in 2016. A primary election took place on March 1, 2016, with a primary runoff on April 12, 2016. The general election was held on November 8, 2016.
Incumbent Bill Weathington ran unopposed in the general election for the Alabama 30th Judicial Circuit Place 1 seat.[4]
