John Worcester-Holland
John E. Worcester-Holland is a superior court judge on the Appalachian Circuit of Georgia. He was appointed to the bench on April 19, 2016, by Gov. Nathan Deal (R). The court had two Appalachian Circuit had two vacancies at the time, following the resignation of Roger E. Bradley and the appointment of Amanda Mercier to the Georgia Court of Appeals. Worcester and Mary Beth Priest were appointed on the same date to the two vacancies. Both seats were up for election in 2016.[1]
Prior to his appointment to superior court position, Worcester-Holland was the juvenile court judge for the counties of Fannin, Gilmer and Pickens in Georgia.[2]
Biography
Worcester-Holland earned his bachelor's degree from Valdosta State University, his master's degree from Troy University, and his J.D. from the Atlanta Law School.[1]
