Mark Duncan Thompson

Mark Duncan Thompson is a judge on the Fifth District Court in Colorado. Thompson was appointed by Governor Bill Ritter in September 2010 to succeed W. Terry Ruckriegle.[1][2] He was later retained by voters in 2014, winning a six-year term that was set to expire on January 11, 2021. [3]

Thompson was retained to the Fifth Judicial District with 77.5 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4]

Education
Thompson received his undergraduate degree from Bates College in 1989 and his J.D. from the University of Denver in 1992. He is married and has one son.[1][2]
Career
Thompson began his career as an associate with the law firm of Feder, Morris, Tamblyn & Goldstein. He then joined the firm of French, West & Brown, where he became a partner in 1999. Immediately prior to joining the court, Thompson was a shareholder with the firm West, Brown, Huntley and Thompson.[1][2]
