Michael A. Borer is a judge on the Putnam County Court of Common Pleas, Probate/Juvenile Division in Putnam County, Ohio. He was appointed by Governor Ted Strickland to a term commencing January 7, 2011.[1] Borer was re-elected to the Putnam County Court of Common Pleas, Probate/Juvenile Division in 2014, winning a term that expired on February 8, 2021.[2]

Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 65.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Gary L. Lammers.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. [3][4]

Borer was elected to the Putnam County Court of Common Pleas, Probate/Juvenile Division after running unopposed on November 6, 2012.[5]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Borer was an attorney in private practice in Ottawa, Ohio, specializing in real estate, probate, estates, guardianships, and adoption law. He has also served as an assistant prosecutor for Putnam County, a staff attorney for the Putnam County Child Support Enforcement Agency, and a solicitor for Leipsic, Pandora, Cloverdale, Dupont, and Miller City in Ohio.[1][7]
