Michael L. Robinson (Republican Party) is the North Carolina 4th Superior Court Division Special Judge for Complex Business Cases. He assumed office on July 1, 2016. His current term ends on July 1, 2026.

Robinson was reappointed to this seat for another term starting July 1, 2021 by Roy Cooper (D) on March 18, 2021.[1]

Robinson ran for election to the North Carolina Supreme Court.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 49.9 percent of the vote. He competed against Justice Cheri Beasley. [2]

Education

Robinson earned an undergraduate degree in economics from Davidson College in 1977. He earned a J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1980 and graduated with honors. He was also awarded the Order of the Coif.[5]
