Sid R. Thomas is a judge for the Sixteenth Judicial District in Kansas. He was elected to the court in November 2014 for a term which expires in January 2019.[1]
Education
Thomas received a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics and political science from Kansas State University and a J.D. from the University of Kansas in 1989.[2]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Thomas was a staff attorney at Saint Francis Community Services. He is a former assistant attorney for Finney County and has also worked in private practice.[2]

Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 54.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Michael J. Giardine.
