Ralph T. Gazzillo
Ralph T. Gazzillo was a judge for the Suffolk County Court in New York. He served in this position from 1997 to 2016. He also served as an Acting Justice for the Suffolk County Supreme Court.[1][2]
Education
Gazzillo received his A.A.S. degree from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 1974, his B.S. degree from Pace University in 1978 and his J.D. degree from the New York University School of Law in 1982.[1]
Career
Gazzillo began his career in 1982 as a law intern for Hon. Vito Titone. The following year, he joined Bruce G. Behrins & Associates as an associate attorney. He then served as a Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney from 1984 to 1987. He served as a law secretary for Hon. Richard Delin in 1987 and for Hon. H. Patrick Leis III in 1988. In 1988 and 1989, he served as an associate attorney of Catherine S. Kash. He then returned to the position of law secretary, serving Suffolk County Court Judge Dennis Hurley from 1989 to 1991 and Suffolk County Supreme Court Justice Gail Prudenti from 1992 to 1993. He was then appointed to the Suffolk County District Court, where he served through 1996. In 1997, he became a County Court judge. He has also served, since 1994, as an adjunct professor of Dowling College and an instructor at the New York Institute of Technology.[1]
