Adam Y. Chang
Adam Y. Chang is a judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California. He assumed office in 2020. His current term ends on January 8, 2029.
Chang won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California outright in the primary on June 7, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.
Governor Gavin Newsom (D) appointed him to the court on August 28, 2020, to replace Georgina T. Rizk.[1]
Although California Superior Court judges are elected in nonpartisan elections, a press release from Gov. Newsom's office announcing Chang's appointment on August 28, 2020, identified him as a Democrat.[1]
Education
Chang received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and his Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Southern California.[1]
